JAMMU, Aug 7: A woman bootlegger was arrested along with over 100 pouches of illicit liquor from Narwal.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police party from Narwal police post intercepted a woman on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 110 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the woman bootlegger, who has been identified as Asha Devi, wife of Rocky, a resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal.
A case under FIR number 149/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Narwal SI Inayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq and SP South Rahul Malik.
