JAMMU, Nov 17: A woman today allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the woman identified as Sonu Devi, wife of Dalveer Singh, resident of Narayana (Khour), allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence this afternoon following which she was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by the family members.
However, the woman expired there at about 10 PM. The body of the woman was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for postmortem. The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
