JAMMU, Sept 25: A 40-year-old woman was today crushed to death when a two-wheeler she was riding on was hit by a truck in the Sainik Colony area of city outskirts.
The woman identified as Charanjeet Kour wife of Joginder Singh, a resident of Seohra (Kunjwani), was crushed to death after being hit by a speeding truck bearing registration number RJ19GD-1532, a police officer said.
He said a case has been registered in this connection at police station Gangyal and the accused truck driver identified as Shaqoor Khan, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Jodhpur was arrested. “Both the vehicles involved in the mishap have also been seized”, he added.
