Woman delivers quadruplets

JAMMU, June 9: A woman today delivered quadruplets here at Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital.
“All the new borns are male. They are healthy but underweight. So we have kept them for Neonatal ICU (NICU) of the hospital in Doctors’ observation”, said Dr Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital.
He said the mother of the four, who has been identified as Babli Devi (27) wife of Suneet Singh, a resident of Sunderbani in district Rajouri, is also alright.
“The woman was admitted in the hospital yesterday and today at about 11.29 am she delivered first baby while other three were delivered after a gap of two minutes each”, he said adding the weight of the first baby is 1.2Kg while the other three are 1.25 Kg, 1.3 Kg and 1.7 Kg, respectively.
