Woman dies in Doda, 58 test +ve in Jammu

LEH, July 30: A woman died of COVID-19 in Doda district and 58 persons tested positive in Jammu region today while 79 fresh cases were reported in Kashmir division and four in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
A 65-year-old woman hailing from Gandoh in Doda district having no co-morbidities died of COVID-19 in the Government Medical College (GMC) Doda today.
The death has taken Corona toll in Doda to 125 and Jammu region to 2142.
Among 58 fresh positive cases in the region, 14 each were reported in Doda and Reasi districts, 13 Jammu, eight Rajouri, four Poonch, two Ramban and one each in Udhampur, Kathua and Kishtwar districts. Samba district didn’t register any fresh cases today.
Thirty three persons recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,21,717 Coronavirus cases. Of them, 458 are active positives while 1,19,117 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2142 casualties.
Meanwhile, DC Reasi Charandeep Singh today declared about 200 meters area behind SICOP Industrial complex of Morha Kattal in village Gran in Reasi district as Micro-Containment Zone after 15 COVID positive cases were reported from here.
The Union Territory of Ladakh recorded four new cases today, all in Leh district.
With this, Corona count in Ladakh has reached 20324. However, there are only 60 active positive cases as 20057 persons have been treated and there were 207 casualties including 149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 79 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 26 from Srinagar, 15 from Baramulla, 7 from Budgam, 6 from Pulwama, 2 from Kupwara, 2 from Bandipora, 8 from Ganderbal and 13 from Kulgam.
As per officials figures, 71,370 positive cases including 832 deaths and 70,223 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,610 including 282 deaths and 23,221 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,886 including 22,615 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Budgam, 15,174 including 14,928 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,060 including 165 deaths and 13,861 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,322 including 16,079 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,467 cases including 9,350 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,897 including 9,771 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,257 including 11,114 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,584 including 5,516 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
With fresh cases, the number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 199,627 including 196,678 recoveries and 2,236 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,144 including 710 from Kashmir division.
With 109 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 315,795 which is 98.27 percent of the total cases.
