RAJOURI, Mar 15: In two separate incidents a woman died after consuming poison in Harni area while a man allegedly hanged self to death in Kalakote today.
A police spokesman said that 30-year-old, Sabia Kouser, wife of Mohd Hussain, resident of Harni in Mendhar consumed some poisonous stuff at home and she was shifted to District Hospital Rajouri where she passed away. Later, the parents and relatives of the deceased woman held protest and blocked road near Hospital in Rajouri. The police assured proper inquiry into the matter and cleared the road.
One Madan Lal (55), son of Shiv Ram, resident of Saroh in Kalakote committed suicide by hanging at his residence during morning hours today. The police shifted the body for postmortem to Kalakote hospital and later handed over to the family after performing legal formalities. They police launched inquest proceedings in this connection.
