UDHAMPUR, Feb 18: A middle aged woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her parental house at Rakh Badali area, falling under the jurisdiction of Udhampur Police Station.
As per police sources, Rewa Devi (40) wife of Ved Parkash, residing in her parental house at Rakh Badali near PTC Udhampur was found hanging in her residence.
On getting information, police immediately shifted her to District Hospital, Udhampur where doctors declared her brought dead. The deceased was the mother of two daughters and a son and residing with her parents since a long period. The body was handed over to family members for last rites, after conducting autopsy.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started to ascertain the reasons behind such extreme step.
