POONCH, Nov 3: Dead body of a woman, apparently mauled by a bear, was found at Markote village of Loran block in Poonch, here today.
The deceased was identified as Maryam Bi (50), wife of Mohd Sakhi, resident of Markote in block Loran. Yesterday she had gone for some work in the forest area and did not return after which her family was searching for her and this morning her mutilated dead body was found. There were visible marks of bear attack on her body.
Dead body was later shifted to PHC Loran for postmortem, After all the legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family members for last rites.
