LEH, Nov 27: A team of four senior women boxers representing UT Ladakh will participate in the 4th Elite Women Open National Boxing Championship to be held from December 2 to 8, 2019 at Kannaur in Kerala.
Organized by District Youth Services and Sports Department UT Ladakh, these selected players will take part in different categories. Stanzin Youthog will play in 64 Kg category, Stanzin Dechan in 60 Kg, Stanzin Angmo in 51 Kg and Farina Iliyas in 69 Kg. The team accompanied by team manager Dechan Dolkar and team coach Zia Ul Hassan today met with Divisional Commissioner Ladakh Saugat Biswas at his office and apprised him about the weeklong national tournament going to be held at Kerala.
Divisional Commissioner Ladakh Saugat Biswas interacted with the players, asked about their past experiences and wished them good luck for the championship and expressed hope that the team would excel in the tournament and will bring laurels to UT Ladakh.
The officers and officials of District Youth Services and Sports Office Leh were also present.
