Women Do Ride participates in BRMs

JAMMU, Nov 14: The women cycle riders of Women Do Ride Cycling Club have once again participated in the 1st Brevets De Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRMs), which was held here for the first time.
The participants were Dr Ritu Ahal, Payal Jain, Harpreet Bhalla, Sonia Sawhney, Reena Jain, Manisha Gupta, Schweta Mittal, Gurpreet Singh Bhalla and Sonam Reen.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Brevets De Randonneur Mobdiax is a cycling ride of fixed distances that were completed within specified time limits and after having successfully passed through time controlled check points. The BRM worldwide are approved and governed by a Paris based organisation Audax Club Parisan (ACP).
This is not a competitive event and there are no positions or podium finishes, while this event is to allow people to meet challenges and succeed through physical and mental endurance.
Dr. Ritu Ahal, a Dental surgeon by profession is the one to have stood first in the 1st cycle rally from Uri to Kamaon Post under the celebrations of 75th year of independence and also stood first in the Duathlon-a running-cycling-running format which was held on 31st October, 2021.
