SRINAGAR, Nov 9: Wonder Guys Cricket Club, Soura thrashed Star Cricket Club, Bachpora by six wickets in the final match and lifted the title trophy of the BEd T20 Cricket Tournament organized by Shadab College of Education, Malla Bagh Naseem Bagh here today.
Khurshid was declared Man of the Match while as Manzoor Ahmad was adjudged as Man of the Tournament.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, Prof Talat Ahmad was the chief guest, who presented trophies to the winner and runner-up teams in presence of Chairman, Shadab College of Education, Abdul Hamid Wani, faculty members and sports lovers.
In all, 32 B Ed Colleges of Valley including various teams of JKCA participated in the tournament.
Congratulating the winning team, Prof Talat Ahmad assured the participants that University of Kashmir will always ready to encourage sportsmanship and sports personalities.
He impressed upon students to take part in various sports activities to maintain good health in addition to routine academic activities besides imbibing discipline and leadership qualities.
Among others present were Chairman, SSM College, Padshai Bagh, GN Parray, Saif-ud-Din Bhat, Iqbal Hanief Beig and Chairmen of BEd Colleges.
