SRINAGAR, Oct 8: Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Nazir Ahmad Gurezi while replying to a question by Devender Singh Rana informed the Upper House that the construction of Ravi-Tawi canal to be taken from Basantpur to upstream of Ranjit Sagar Dam near village Satwain in District Kathua stands sanctioned administratively for an amount of Rs.275 crore.
He said NOCs from all concerned departments have been received except the Wild Life Department and the work on the canal will be started in near future.
