JAMMU, Nov 10: MV International School organized a workshop for the SSc Department of the school, here.
Ramesh Mathur and Mrs.Mathur were the facilitators of the workshop.
Mr Mathur, a very renowned educationist who holds experience of more than 27 years in the Department of Geography shared his valuable knowledge and experience with the students and the teachers of SSc Department of MVIS.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mr Mathur did his entire schooling in Mayo College, Ajmer. He represented India in Springboard Diving held in Sri Lanka in 1969 held in Colombo and won silver medal for the country. He also worked as an Educational Advisor in the Sultanate of Oman.
Mr Mathur explained the minute details of the physical and political map reading. He emphasized on the importance and need to understand the maps. He also explained the students about utilization of maps and the techniques to read.
The experiences shared by Mr. Mathur about Geography as a subject and in relevance to our day to day life were eye openers to the audience.
The faculty and the students of the school were extremely happy about the opportunity that they got to hear Mr Mathur.
