JAMMU, May 14: Jodhamal Public School (JPS) and three other schools namely Government High School Deelli, Government Primary School Sainik Colony and Government Primary School Prithipur (Zone Bishnah) started Public Private Partnership (PPP) at JPS with a workshop conducted today by the Principal, JPS, Trilok Singh Bist, for all the teachers of the three schools.
The workshop was conducted as a part of sharing and learning the best practices from Jodhamal so that the first step of hand holding could kick start for a better coordination and cooperation among all schools.
Director School Education, Smita Sethi, has been a motivating factor in this School Adoption Process together with the CEO Jammu, JK Sudan and the Deputy CEO under the guidance of Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar.
Head Masters of the three schools—Sudesh Kumari, Monika Jamwal and Sudesh Choudhary from GHS Deeli, GPS Sainik Colony and GPS Prithipur, respectively, participated with full vigour with their teams in the workshop where mutual sharing of the best practices was brought on the floor.
While speaking on the occasion, Trilok Singh Bist said education is not just making the children read or write but to develop children into very confident children with soft skills, to develop a good character in them and transform them into someone who respects his/her culture and language.
Jodhamal teachers— Poonam Sarmal, Bhupender Kaur, Deepmala Sharma and Harpreet Sharma gave a demo lesson to all by teaching in a play way method and by using the theatre in education to make the lesson simplified. Shivani, a student shared her experiences of the Award Journey of her Gold Award with all and also showcased her painting talent as Skill Development in IAYP.
Junior Coordinator, Urmila Kaul, gave a session on the play way method and also talked on how to prepare a child to be receptive while a teacher is teaching.
IAYP Coordinator Deepta Khoosu also gave a 20 minutes session on what IAYP is and how the Government School students can also register for this International Award once they attain the age of 14 years.
Administrative Officer, Bharat Bhushan Sharma of JPS, also shared how the digitalization of education makes it convenient to make a lesson understood easily.
