Jammu, Dec 17: Seven-day workshop on Research Methodology for the benefit of faculty members and research scholars of the Department of Dogri was inaugurated today.
Prof. Veena Gupta, former HoD & Dean Faculty of Arts was the chief guest whereas Prof. Ramnika Jalali, Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Jammu, presided over the function.
Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, HoD Dogri highlighted the importance and relevance of the workshop. She said that in today’s advanced world there is a dire need to organize such programs for the benefit of teachers and scholars.
Prof. Veena Gupta, presented key note address based on research methodology. She shared her personal experience of research work with the participants of the workshop. She said that there are various aspects of dialects of Dogra region where research work on Dogri language has not been done till date, therefore scholars should focus their research work on this area. She said that before selecting the topic, a research scholar should have the thorough knowledge of the same. She also trained the scholars how to collect data related to their research work.
Prof. Ramnika Jalali also spoke on the occasion. She gave the suggestion to the participants how to maintain the quality of research work and prove the relevance of their research topic.
Prof. Shiv Dev Singh Manhas presented vote of thanks whereas Dr. Sushma Sharma conducted the proceedings of the program.
