JAMMU, Oct 31: A workshop organized on traditional folk art forms jointly by M. Jackson Cultural Institute of Society and Triple A Performing Arts (TAPA), Reasi concluded here today.
On the concluded function Dr Ravinder Kumar Tikoo was the chief guest while Prof. Anuradha Kalsi was the guest of honour.
About 50 students participated in the workshop.
Raja Aamir Khan, Director TAPA said that the experts of the work echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of providing opportunities for budding artists to hone their skills.
On the occasion four dance performance Jagrana, Esse gran deya lambra, Thandapani and dandars were performed by participants.
The workshop aimed to revive the traditional folk art forms, with a special focus on enacting Dogri folk dances, rituals and costumes, art & crafts etc.
Under the expert guidance of renowned Folk dance expert, Music Composer, choreographer, art director included Raj Kumar, Romesh Parwana, J R Sharma, M. Akram Khan, Poonam Sharma and Ridhima Sharma.
Among others who were present on the concluded function included Prof. Jasmeet Kour and Ravi Sharma, Director Dhanraj Studio.
