UDHAMPUR, Nov 14: A workshop on Share Market and Stock Trading was organized by the Confederation of Indian Industries in collaboration with Department of Business Administration of Government Degree College Udhampur.
Principal of the College, Prof SS Bhalwal, presided over the session. In his presiding remarks, he said that an investor must be careful regarding the safety of his investment. “Prudence in this regard minimizes the risk. This workshop must have been an eye-opener for you all.” he added.
Harvinder Singh Sodhi, from Bombay Stock Exchange very meticulously highlighted the main issues of Share Market and Stock Trading. He spoke at length on BSE, filing DRP, SEBI, Exchanges, Initial Public Offer, Role of Stock Exchange, Trading & saving Accounts, DMat Account, Working of Stock Screen, Share Prices, Rights of the Investors etc to make his presentation.
Gagandeep Singh Kamra, Executive Officer, Confederation of Indian Industries also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the activities of the CII. “Awareness of our rights and duties help us live a successful life”, he said.
