JAMMU, May 7: World Athletics Day was celebrated by J&K Amateur Athletics Association under the theme of Kids Athletics Day here today.
On the world Athletics Day, J&K Amateur Athletics Association celebrated the kids Athletics Day at M.A Stadium Jammu under the auspices of Athletics Federation of India. Around 150 kids both boys and girls, took part in the events. It is a day when kids around the world come together and indulge in fun and games to learn new physical and mental skills that will help them live an active and healthy lifestyle.
Rajeev Sharma Member J&K Sports Council was the Chief Guest while Baljinder Singh, Divisional Sports Officer J&K Sports Council, Suneel Mahajan President and Sharat Chander Singh General Secretary J&K Amateur Athletics Association were the guests of honour who distributed the medals to the winners in different categories. Prominent others present were Nirmal Singh, Rakesh Charak, Parveen Singh, Sahil Sharma, Monika Sharma, Jyoti Sharma, Rajni Sharma and others. The event was organised under the overall supervision of Pawandeep Kour.
