JAMMU, June 5: Wrestler Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu smashed Wrestler Amrit Paul of Goal Bagh Stadium Amritsar and lifted Chamba Dangal title.
The dangal was organized by Chamba Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at village Chamba in Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.
President, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma inaugurated the dangal in presence of Sarpanch Sham Singh, AE Bishan Dass and Naresh Kumar.
A total of 34 bouts were fought during the dangal. Wrestlers from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP and J&K participated in the competition.
In the second bout, Wrestler Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu registered win over Wrestler Basant of Amritsar. The third bout was won by Wrestler Anku of Amritsar who defeated Wrestler Zaker of Sarore. The Fourth bout was won by Wrestler Karan of Amritsar who defeated Wrestler Murkeen Ali of Malerkotla, Punjab. The fifth bout was won by Wrestler Arjun of Amritsar who defeated Wrestler Jaiseen of Malerkotla, whereas in sixth bout, Wrestler Shallu of Amritsar registered victory over Wrestler LiaqatAli of Jammu.
On the valedictory function, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Katra Dr Ashok Sharma was the chief guest who gave away the cash prizes to the winners and runner-up wrestlers.
OTHER RESULTS: Wrestler Sanif Ali of Malerkotla, Punjab beat Wrestler Karan of Amritsar, Wrestler Murad Ali smashed Wrestler Bittu, Wrestler Jamat Ali of Nagotra registered win over Wrestler Prashant of Delhi, Wrestler Dheeraj Singh defeated Wrestler Laikat Ali, Wrestler Vicky Sharma crushed Wrestler Sonu, Wrestler Anil beat Wrestler Sanif Ali and Wrestler Prashant of UP outplayed Wrestler Naresh Kumar of Billawar.
