SRINAGAR, May 23: Wushu Association of J&K will conduct selection trials for Senior Wushu team on May 25 and 26, 2023 at Wushu Hall Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex here for Senior Wushu players for the participation in 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship to be held at Pune from June 26 to July 1, 2023.
All Maharashtra Wushu Association is hosting the 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship at Pune.
A handout stated that all the players of all affiliated Units of Wushu Association of J&K in senior division (Men/Women) in both Taolu and Sanda can take part in the selection trials.
All the participating players were directed to bring DoB proof and fitness certificates from doctor and passport size photographs for selection trials.
Wushu Association of J&K has formulated a selection committee with Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee) as chairman; Maqsood Rather, Kamal Kishore, Ajaz Hassan, Ajay Paul Gill, Ramees, Nisar Ahmed Mir and Mohd Irfan—all members.
The selection committee shall shortlist the J&K Wushu team for 32nd Senior National Wushu championship. Pertinent to mention here is that during the previous edition of senior National Wushu Championship held at Srinagar, J&K Wushu team remained overall second in the 31st Senior National Wushu Championship.
