JAMMU, Nov 4: Wushu Association of Jammu and Kashmir organized online meeting in which the calendar of activities for the year 2020-21 was discussed and issued.
The District Activities will be carried out in the month of November whereas some district units have requested to the President and the General Secretary of WAJK for the conduct of the championships in the month of December 2020 due to COVID-19.
The Referee seminar and the coaches seminar will be held from 23rd to 26th November 2020 whereas the 16th J&K State Wushu Championship will be held in the month of 27th to 30th November 2020.
President Vijay Saraf directed all the district units to follow the guidelines and SOPs of the Government during the events.
Almost all the district units are attending the Khelo India E-Pathshala classes being organized by the Sports Authority of India in collaboration with Wushu Association of India. Moreover, some districts like Srinagar, Jammu, Baramulla, Bandipora and Udhampur carried their online zoom classes to boost the morale of the players.
The office bearers appealed to the Government for expediting the process of Khelo India Academy for Wushu in the J&K UT.
The office bearers of Wushu Association of J&K congratulated Kuldeep Handoo Project Director Khelo India E Pathshala for running excellent programme and doing excellent job in this pandemic. The E pathshala programme is still running since 1st June and will continue till this pandemic is over.
