JAMMU, Oct 6: XIIIth North Zone Karate Championship was organized by J&K Sports Karate Do Association at Rotary Club, Gandhi Nagar, here.
180 Karatekas from the States of North Zone participated in the event to vie for the top honours.
The team of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh lifted the overall Championship and the team took part in the event, under the chief coach Narinder Singh, 5th Dan Black Belt.
Ashok Gupta, former IGP was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed medals among the winners on the occasion. Sunil Jain and Naresh Chander were the guests of honour.
Earlier, Dushyant Choudhary, president of J&K Sports Karate Do Association presented welcome address.
Mukesh Gupta, Kartik Gupta, Sankalp Kamal were present on the occasion.
Brijesh Bhau, general secretary, J&K Sports Karate Do Asociation presented vote of thanks.
