YAIKS decides to accelerate struggle for solution of demands

JAMMU, Oct 23: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) in its Core Committee meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of its president, RK Bhat while discussing the future agenda decided to accelerate its struggle for redressal of long pending demands of the displaced youth in particular and community in general.
The meeting reiterated the demand of one time compensation of Rs 50 lakh in favour of over-aged youth of the community who are the first victims of the terrorism and displacement and were ignored by Government time and again.
It demanded that the remaining posts out of PM’s sanctioned 15000 jobs should be given with the procedure of one family one job within a time bound period on fast track basis. The process of recruitment should be given to any other Government agency other than SSRB to relax the rules and norms including merit provision.
It said the selection should be purely on the basis of eligibility of candidates as per their qualification as it being a rehabilitation scheme. Further the vacancies should be also advertised for the gazetted posts including doctors and higher qualified job seekers.
The meeting demanded that Government of India should also reserve from 2 to 4 percent posts for displaced youth in Central Government departments and educational institutes. Besides, all the Valley posted migrant employees be treated at par with other Kashmiri migrant employees till the normalcy is restored and the vision document of YAIKS is implemented in letter and spirit.
The meeting among others was attended by B K Bhat and Sunil Koul vice presidents YAIKS, Manoj Handoo,  its general secretary,  Ajay Safaya and Sanjay Ganjoo, secretaries, Ravinder Sharma and Sunil Dhar organizers, D N Bhat, D N Bhat, Pushkar Nath Pandita and Mohan Lal Raina advisors, YAIKS. It said though displaced youth were optimistic that present Union Government led by Narendra Modi will provide justice to the community leading an exiled life for last 28 years but unfortunately the present dispensation is also adopting the same strategy which was adopted by its predecessors.
