Yamini Cultural Society stages ‘Nanhein Haathon Ka Dumm’

JAMMU, Mar 31: Today Yamini Cultural Society Jammu staged Rakesh Mayus’s play ‘Nanhein Haathon Ka Dumm’, at M J Cultural Institute under the able direction of Gautam Singh in which Vikram Sharma renowned theatre director/actor of the State was the chief guest while Om Prakash senior citizen presided over the function.
Today’s production was the outcome of month long theatre workshop organized by YCS in which theatre techniques like acting, set designing, make up art, costume designing and other back stage works were taught to the students. In the process of theatre workshop stage play ‘Nanhein Haathon Ka Dumm’ was prepared and staged.
Today’s play highlights the problems being faced by the children as no one understands them being a child, whether in school, at home or at play ground. Why they are not proper at studies, no one wants to hear their excuses and parents only want percentage.
So children by their own hidden talent try to solve their problems whether it is their studies related problems, teachers, parents or friends. By their powerful will power they prove that if one wants to be good he or she can prove it.
Chief guest on the occasion lauded the hard work of young director Gautam Singh especially he thanked the children who showed their best. Shishu Pal Khajuria thanked chief guest, all the participants, their parents for their full cooperation. He also thanked Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu for their kind cooperation and financial assistance. Participant were Garima Parihar, Ridhima Sharma, Mahima Koul, Anusha, Lavanya Pandita, Ritik, Sahil, Nitin, Tanvi, Ishan, Pooja, Mansi Sharma, Diksha, Sanjeev, Rajan, Rajat etc. Videography was by Naveen Soodan, music designed and executed by Raju Sylvester, make up by Poonam Sharma, costume by Siddharth, production controller were Abhishek and Vishal. J R Sharma was the Choreographer.
