JAMMU, Oct 28: YCC and Simula Sports Club registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing 6th Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, being played at KC School ground, here.
Earlier, in the first match, YCC defeated Vishal Cricket Club by 4 runs.
Batting first, YCC scored 167 runs in stipulated 20 overs for loss of 4 wickets, with Rakesh Kumar (79), Sachin (38) and Amandeep (20) were the main scorers. From bowling side, Rakesh Koul, Abhinav and Abhinav took 1 wicket each.
Vishal Club, in reply, could not achieved the target and made 163 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets and thus lost the match by 4 runs. Ramandeep Singh (49), Devainsh (36) and Rohan Gill (33) were the main scorers.
From bowling side, Sahil took 3 wickets, while Ashraf, Amandeep and Amir took 1 wicket each. Rakesh Kumar declared man of the match.
In another match, Simula Sports Club defeated YWC by 8 wickets.
Batting first, YWC scored 120 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs with Munna (32), Ayush Bhat (27) and Shivam (22) were the main batsmen. From Simula Sports Club, Hilal Rather, Sahil and Kuldeep took 2 wickets each, while Raman claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, Simula Sports Club chased the target in 11.2 overs by losing 2 wickets. Atul scored 51 runs while Ahmer and Hilal Rather contributed 31 and 19 runs respectively. From bowling side, Ayush and Ankush took 1 wicket each. Atul was declared as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Vinod, Vikas, Dayal Singh and Sandeep.
