YCET organizes guest lecture

JAMMU, Dec 23: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organised a guest lecture on “Ethical Hacking” for computer engineering and electrical engineering students, here today.
The lecture was delivered by Sparsh Sharma, Research Scholar at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and an EC Council Certified Security Analyst (ECS).
The Session began with welcome address by Er Rajnish Magotra, HoD, Civil Engg Department. Er. B.R Verma, Dean Academic Affairs and Er. Rhea Mahajan, HoD, Computer Engineering Department presented the memento to the guest.
Sparsh Dutta expert in the field of Network Security briefed the students about literal meaning of ethical and illegal hacking, types of hackers, website hacking, face book hacking, vulnerability of websites, etc.
Since hacking is an appealing subject to the engineering youth, they took keen interest in the session where they asked plethora of queries related to security of their online accounts, authenticity of websites etc.
The session ended with the vote of thanks by Er. Dinesh Gupta HoD, Applied Sciences, while Iqbal Singh Ahluwalia, TPO, coordinated the session.
