JAMMU, Oct 27: The fourth season of the Kashmiri Pandit Cricket League (KPCL) wrapped up with an exciting finale at the Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota, here today. Over seven days, 12 competitive teams showcased their skills, culminating in a spectacular championship match where Yes We Can team emerged victorious.
The closing ceremony, attended by social activist Dr. Sandeep Mawa, emphasized the importance of community events like KPCL in fostering unity and promoting a healthy lifestyle. He praised the Khoda family and Vikrant Sharma for their efforts in building the impressive Country Cricket Stadium.
Yes We Can took home the championship trophy and a cash prize of Rs 35,000, while Satisar received the runner-up trophy and Rs 25,000. Individual awards were also presented, with Hemant recognized as Man of the Series and winning Best Batsman. Sidharth was named Best Bowler, and Rahul earned Best Fielder award.
The event, organized by officials Arun Zalpuri, Ajay Peshin, and others, teamwork and fair play. The ceremony featured a soulful performance by singer Samiksha, adding to the festive atmosphere. Chief Organizer Sarthak Khoda expressed gratitude to participants and sponsors, marking the season as a significant achievement for the Kashmiri Pandit community.
