YNC protests, demands restoration of Statehood

JAMMU, Mar 22: On direction of provincial president, Ajaz Jan, Youth National Conference (YNC) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding restoration of Statehood to J&K with special status.

The protest was led by YNC provincial vice president, Gourav Kapoor in which president central zone, Sandeep Singh Wazir and district president, Tejinder Pal Singh were also present.
Gaurav Kapoor told reporters that all promises made by the Union Government before abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A proved false as nothing good has happened on the ground till now.
Sandeep Singh said that August 5, 2019 decision was only to humiliate the people of J&K.
He claimed that unemployment ratio in J&K has risen to highest in the country in the last 2-3 years.
Tejinder Pal Singh said that some people are trying to divide the society on communal lines by means of cinema.
After this a march of the protesting workers was stopped by cops when they tried to move towards the Governor House to raise their demand.
