RAJOURI, Jan 29: A 16-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances in forest area of Chingus in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that the boy identified as Sohrab Ahmed, son of Abdul Qayoom, resident of Rani Baletar village in Chingus was missing since yesterday. The family members were searching for him. They told police that boy along with their sheep and goats had gone to nearby forest but he did not return in the evening. They got worried and started searching for him as several animals had already returned home.
Today afternoon, his dead body with marks of injuries was recovered from the forest area. The matter was reported to police, which examined the spot and then shifted the body to District Hospital, Rajouri. The police registered a case and started investigation. They said that possibility of murder can not be ruled out.
