JAMMU, July 27: A young girl allegedly committed suicide today by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Arnia area of city outskirts.
“Priyanka (20) daughter of Babu Ram, resident of Rathana camp (Arnia) was found in unconscious condition at her residence by her mother, who informed other family members”, a police official said.
He said the victim girl was immediately rushed to CHC RS Pura but in view of her serious condition, she was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she expired at about 4.20 PM.
“After completion of all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to her legal heirs for last rites”, the official added.
