UDHAMPUR, Feb 5: The Police recovered the dead body of a young person from canal at village Kawa near Udhampur this evening.
A police spokesman identified the deceased as Sonu Kumar alias Manna (30), son of Sandhokhu Ram, a resident of Laddan in Udhampur district. The body was lying near village Kawa in the canal under mysterious circumstances.
The locals of the area informed police. The police party from Udhampur Police Station rushed to the spot and took the body in its custody. It was shifted to District Hospital, Udhampur for the postmortem. The police registered a case and started investigation.
