JAMMU, Nov 2I: Young Rovers Football Club thrashed Engineers XI by six goals to nil (6-0) to advance in the Senior Division Football League Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, District Jammu at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
The first goal in the match was scored by Sourav of Young Rovers in 26th minute, which was followed by another goal in 40th minute by Varun of the same Club. Avinash pelted 2 splendid goals in 52nd and 68th minute of the match, while the other two goals were scored by Koushal and Sanju in 60th and 62nd minutes respectively, which guided Young Rovers to finally win the contest by (6-o). The out of sorts players of Engineers XI were having no answer to the tactics and ploy with regard to defence and offence applied by the players of Young Rovers Club.
The match was officiated by Koushal Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Sanjay and Harmanjeet Singh.
Sainik Colony Football Club will take on Young Heroes in the next match at 3:30 pm tomorrow at the same venue.
