Young Rovers blanks Young Star by 4-0 in inaugural tie

JAMMU, Nov 22: Young Rovers defeated Young Star by four goals to nil (4-0) in the inaugural match of the 1st Mufti Mohd Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
The 1st goal was score by Abhinash in 19th minute, while 2nd goal was netted by Lakshit Sharma in 21st minute.
The 3rd and 4th goals were again scored by Abhinash in 30th and 35th minutes respectively.
The matches were officiated by Koshal Sharma, Dil Bahadur, Vijay Kumar and Ricky Kumar.
In the second match of the day, Vijay Club drubbed Engineer XI by two goals to nil (2-0). The 1st goal was scored by Sandeep of Vijay Club in 14th minute, while the 2nd goal was netted by Tanpreet Singh via penalty kick in 46th minute.
Vijay Kumar (Sr.), Vijay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Ricky Kumar officiated the matches.
Today’s matches were witnessed by Sheikh Mehmood, President DFA Jammu, Surinder Singh Bunty Vice President JKFA, Varinder  Gupta, Yousaf Don, Narinder Gupta, Charan Dass, Suresh Gupta General Secretary Referee Committee and Rajesh Sumbria Treasurer DFA.
