JAMMU, Oct 10: Young Rovers blanked Young Stars by six goals to nil (6-0), while Jammu United registered a solitary goal win over Young Heroes in the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
In the first match of the day, the players of Young Rovers team displayed superb soccer skills and dominated the game from the word go, scoring back to back goals to demolish the rival camp.
In another match, Jammu United outplayed Young Heroes by one goal to nil (1-0). The goal was scored by Rajinder Kumar through a brilliant pass by Akshat Gupta in the 55th minute.
The matches were officiated by Manpreet Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Sunny.
Sainik Colony will take on Musa Club at 2:30 pm and Param FC will meet Engineers XI at 3:30 pm tomorrow.
Today’s match among others was witnessed by RK Kohli, chairman organizing Committee, Narinder Gupta, Varinder Gupta, Yousuf Don, David Masih, Satpal Singh, Rajesh Sumberia and Harbans Lal.
