Young Shivanshi retains chess title

UDHAMPUR, July 17: Showing composure and extraordinary chess skills, young Shivanshi retained the Chess title by beating her opponents in the 25th Computer Point Technologies Special Format Women Open & Under Category Chess Championship 2015.
The event concluded at Champion Sports and Cultural Academy (CSCA), here today.
The Tournament was organized by District Udhampur Chess Association Affiliated by All J&K State Chess Association and supported by Sky High India Social organization.
In tough fight, Shivanshi, student of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Udhampur winner in under-10 category successfully retained her position of youngest Champion once again in the Championship.
Apart from winning under-10 category, Shivanshi played better to beat Sheena Akhtar in final battle in the women’s open category after securing 5 points out of six.
The Tournament was coordinated and sponsored by Brilliant Brains Abacus, Computer Point Technologies, Computer Point Colligate, Brilliant Brains Learning Point, (RSCET) Research & Studies in Communication Education & Technology Cooperative Ltd, (NMCETC) National Mission of Computer Education & Technology Cooperative Ltd. and Champion Sports & Cultural Academy (CSCA).
