Young Shubam continues cricketing brilliance

JAMMU, June 17: After slamming mammoth 191 runs along with other two centuries in the matches organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI’s) National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bangalore during a Coaching cum Training Camp recently, youngster Shubam Khajuria continued his brilliance in the Delhi Super League Cricket while representing prestigious ONGC team.
Shubam is now the contract player of ONGC, only the second cricketer from the state of Jammu and Kashmir after Delhi skipper Mithun Manhas to play for ONGC.
Meanwhile, in their second match of the ongoing Delhi Super League, ONGC registered an easy win over RP Cricket Academy to stay alive in the tournament.
Batting first, RP Academy scored 214 runs in the stipulated 40 overs. Puneet Walia was the top scorer with 70 runs. For ONGC, Sourav scalped 3 wickets, while Lokinder bagged 2 and Amit Bhandari claimed one wicket.
ONGC, in reply rode on a superb century (110) by Mohit Sharma and a power-packed 70 runs off 59 balls by Shubam Khajuria chased the target easily to register a resounding win.
It is pertinent to mention here, that the ONGC team is being represented by International cricketers and the domestic stars like Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Mithun Manhas and Ashish Nehra etc. For that matter, being part of such a team is a great honour for youngster Shubam.
