JAMMU, Nov 22: Young Star Hockey Club, AKS Club and Ajit Club Gole Gujral scripted wins on the 2nd day of the 3rd Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament 2017, under the aegis of Hockey J&K, organized by Kashmir Sikh Sangat, here today.
In the 1st match Young Star Hockey Club defeated MRS Club Gadi Garh by six goals to nil (6-0), while in another match, AKS Club Digiana defeated Vijaypur Hockey Club by five goals to nil (5-0).
In the 3rd match, Ajit Club Gole Gujral defeated Dashmesh Club, Nanak Nagar by a solitary goal (1-0).
In the 1st match, KN Singh, retired SBI Officer was the chief guest and Gurdeep Singh (Industrialist) was the guest of honour.
Prof Inder Singh was the chief guest in the second match and Madam Amarjeet Kaur was the guest of honour and in the 3rd match, Harman Singh, veteran hockey player was the chief guest.
The technical team included Karanjit Singh,
PP Singh, Joginder Singh, D. Singh, Satvir Singh (IAF), Gurjit Singh, Gurmeet Kaur, Baljit Kaur, Anjali Thakur and Harvinder Pal Singh.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sewa Singh, president KSS,
Jaswant Singh, senior vice president, Hockey J&K. TP Singh is the organizing secretary of the tournament.
GS Bakshi, general secretary, Hockey J&K was present on the occasion.
