JAMMU, Nov 20: Young Star Football Club prevailed over Mussa Club by four goals to two (4-2) to advance in the Senior Division Football League Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, District Jammu at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
The first two goals in the match were scored by Rakesh Kumar of Mussa Club in 18th and 24th minute to give the Club an early lead. However, Young Star players came back strongly to dominate the second half of the match completely. It was Sanjay Kumar of Young Star Club who scored a superb goal in 34th minute of the match, which was followed by another goal scored by Sourav of the same club in the 42nd minute to help his team equalize the score. A self goal scored by Dushyant of Mussa Club in 51st minute helped Young Star to increase the lead by one goal and a splendid goal by Tanvir Singh in 68th minute guided Young Star to finally win the contest by (4-2).
The match was officiated by Moon Stephen, Vijay Kumar, Kaushal Sahrma and Harmanjeet Singh.
Engineers XI will take on Young Rovers in the next match at 3:30 pm tomorrow at the same venue.
