Young Stars lifts Dachhan Premier League title

KISHTWAR, Oct 11: Young Stars Chichha emerged winners of the 3rd edition of Dachhan Cricket Premier League, conducted under Operation Sadhbhavana by Indian Army, here today.
The tournament began on October 2, wherein a total of 36 teams participated from all over Dachhan areas.
In the finals, Youth XI Sondar gave a target of 81 runs in 12 overs to Young Star Chichha. Jatinder of Young Star Chichha played an unbeaten 63 runs in 37 balls and led Young Star Chichha from the front and registered seven wickets win over Youth-XI.
For his stellar performance in the final, Jatinder was declared as man of the match and best batsman of the tournament. Sheikh Alyas Wahid of Rising Star Janakpura was announced as man of the tournament, while Sadam Wani of Rising Star Janakpur was adjudged as best bowler of the tournament.
The winning team was awarded with trophies and cash prizes.
Colonel Ameya Chiplunkar, Commanding Officer 17 Rashtriya Rifle (Maratha Light Infantry) witnessed the final along with Government officials of Dachhan block and gave away the prizes to the winners.
The people thanked the Indian Army for conducting the event.
