SAMBA, Jan 7: Young Warriors Jammu won the final match of the Under-15 football by defeating Param Football Club Hiranagar in an ongoing tournament in Mandi Thalora of Samba today.
In the final match, Mustafa of Young Warrior team took the lead over Hiranagar team by scoring a goal in the initial period, while after some time, Sarveshwar of Hiranagar team also scored a goal to bring his team on par and till the first half both the teams remained equal with one goal each.
The match in the second half end 7 minutes before the fixed last time; Madhur of Jammu team scored a goal to give the team the lead and brought the score to 2-1. Even till the last time, the Hiranagar team did not score any more goals. After which Young Warrior Football Club of Jammu won the final match and the trophy.
At the same time, local social worker Arjun Singh was mainly present in the final. He honoured the players of the winning and runner-up team by giving them prizes. In his address, he encouraged the youth who are organizing the competition and said that this will give our youth an opportunity to showcase their talents; children will remain physically healthy and will also stay away from bad habits like drugs.
On this occasion, Ward number 15 Councillor Raj Singh, former Sarpanch Varinder Singh Lucky, Puran Singh, Prahlad Singh, Subhash Singh, Congress leader Satish Dutta, National Conference leader Chander Uday Singh, Aman Singh, Panku Singh, Keshav Singh and many others were also present.
