JAMMU, Feb 4: A youth was attacked with a sharp edged weapon by two brothers in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, in a cocktail party organized at Ward No 4, (RS Pura) late last night, two brothers namely Sunny Gupta and Bunny Gupta, sons of Lok Raj, resident of Ward No 4, had an altercation with a youth namely Devraj (26) son of Amar Nath, resident of ward No 8 (RS Pura).
He said following altercation, both the brothers in a fit of rage attacked Devraj with sharp edged weapons. “In the attack, Devraj sustained serious injuries in his abdomen following which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be serious”, he further added.
The official said that a case FIR No 16/2019 under Sections 307/34 RPC was registered in this connection at police station RS Pura and investigations started while efforts were on to nab the accused brothers.
