SAMBA, Nov 15: A youth allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Kehli Mandi area here today.
As per police sources, a 20-year-old boy identified as Krishan Kumar, son of Devi Dutt, a resident of Kehli Mandi allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
Finding him unconscious, family members shifted the youth to District Hospital Samba, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he was responding to the treatment, when reports last came in.
A case in this regard has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
