JAMMU, Nov 1: A youth who had attempted hanging last month at his residence in Nowshera, today died here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police official, the youth identified as Rajesh Kumar (23) son of Bansi Lal, resident of Nowshera, was admitted here in GMCH on October 22 after he made a vain attempt on his life by hanging himself at his residence.
The official said after battling with the life for over eight days, the youth died today in the hospital. “After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, he said, adding, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
