JAMMU, Jan 29: A 22-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide today by hanging himself at his residence in Kanachak area of city outskirts.
“Rohit Kumar son of Om Parkash, resident of Pakkhian (Mishriwala) was found hanging from hook of the ceiling fan at his residence this evening,” a police official said, adding on the information of the family members, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to GMC Jammu for postmortem.
He said in this connection, Kanachak police had initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC.
