JAMMU, Aug 22: A 20-year-old youth committed suicide in Bagh-e-Bahu area of Jammu.
“The deceased identified as Manjeet Singh son of Baldev Singh, resident of Tulli (Reasi), was presenting living in a rented accommodation at Harki Poudi (Bag-e-Bahu, Jammu),” police sources said.
They said the body of the deceased was found hanging this morning inside a library in Gorkha Nagar area of Bagh-e-Bahu. A suicide note was also recovered from the spot, sources said, adding, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites after completing all medico-legal formalities.
Sources said that the youth was preparing for competitive examinations and used to come frequently in the library for study. They said Bagh-e-Bahu police had taken cognizance of the matter.
