JAMMU, Mar 6: A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence.
As per sources, a youth namely Donish Kumar (22), son of Desh Raj allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Kothey Bure area of Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu.
After conducting autopsy at CHC RS Pura, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by RS Pura Police to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
Meanwhile, the locals alleged police harassment the reason behind the death.
“The boy was being harassed by police in a case owing to which he took this extreme step of ending his life”, the locals said and demanded justice for the family of the deceased.
