Youth Congress convention held at Kalakote

RAJOURI, Nov 6: A day-long youth convention was organized at Kalakote to discuss and highlight the issues and demands of the youth of Kalakote Assembly segment.
A large number of Youth Congress activists, including Panchayat members, participated in the convention  and expressed their views on the political and developmental issues of Kalakote Assembly segment.
They alleged that Kalakote has been ignored by the successive Governments in terms of development. The time has come for over throwing the current, corrupt and dictatorial regime, they exhorted the youth.
While delivering his address, president of Assembly Youth Congress Wasim Kohli appreciated the local youth committee for organizing the convention and asked the youth to propagate the developmental programmes and policies of various welfare schemes launched by the Government.
Mr Kohli appealed the youth to put a united fight for their rights and development of Kalakote.  Besides striving for an inclusive growth of Kalakote, the youth also must fight against the fundamentalist and communal forces, he said and added that the time has come to change the political course of Kalakote constituency.
Wasim Kohli also threw light on the objective of organizing this youth convention. The main purpose of organizing this convention is to channelize the energy of youth in right direction and also in nation building. He further said that such type of conventions inculcate a concept of youth activism and political awareness among the community members. This convention is a platform for the youth of Kalakote to raise issue and fight for their rights, he added.
Others who addressed the convention, included Raj Kumar Sharma, Dil Pazir Choudhary, Liquat Ali, Verender Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Angrez Singh, Advocate Anayat, Sanjeev and  Kafeel Ahmed.
The programme was compeered and coordinated by Kafeel Ahmad while the vote of thanks was presented by Raj Kumar Sharma.
