JAMMU, Oct 6: A 20-year-old youth apparently committed suicide by hanging with a ceiling fan at his residence at Rehari area here today, police said.
Ravi Kant son of Kamal Prasad of Madhya Pradesh at present House number 292, Rehari Colony, Jammu, was found hanging with a cloth sheet from the ceiling fan at his current residence late in the evening, they said.
He was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors pronounced him as dead on arrival, said police.
While the body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital police have launched inquest proceedings to further probe the matter.
