UDHAMPUR, Jan 27: A local youth was found murdered in forest area near village Satyalta in Chenani, here yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Sudesh Kumar (23), son of Ram Dass, resident of Ward number 5, Satyalta Morh in Chenani Tehsil. He was apparently hit on his head by some iron rod like object, resulting into his death, said Police.
Some locals spotted the dead body lying in forest area, late evening and called the Police. On being informed, Chenani police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to SDH Chenani for the postmortem.
A case FIR number 09/2020 under Section 302 has been registered in this connection and further investigation is going on while the dead body was handed over to the family members after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem.
