MENDHAR, Aug 20: The police arrested a youth for committing theft at a shop near religious place and stealing cash worth Rs 40,000 from there.
A police spokesman said that the accused Tahir Hussain (20), son of Bagdad Hussain Shah, resident of Gohlad was nabbed by police party from the town here today. When the police Head Constable challenged the accused, he took out a `Toka’ and attacked the cop, causing minor injury to him as the other cops over powered him and snatched the weapon. He was arrested and taken to Police Station.
The accused had broke into the shop of one Nazuk Shah at Relan Ziarat near Gohlad three days back. The police was looking for him. The police said that accused is a history sheeter and a fresh case has been registered against him for assault on police party.
